Live Oak Pond is 80 acres located in northeastern Irwin County. 53 acres of the property are mature planted pines that have been thinned once. Nestled between three ancient live oaks on the northern end of the property are the hunters' cabins that overlook an acre pond. There are two cabins, one has a full kitchen, bathroom and living area. The other serves as a fine bunk room. Two shelters and a dog pen round out the improvements on the property. The northern section of the tract is made up of two different age classes of planted pine. The slash pine is ready to be thinned, while the longleaf will be really soon. Around the northern pond is a fenced pasture that is ready to hold horses or a small herd of cattle.
